I’m going to be honest with you… by day four or five of the Daniel Fast, that “new year excitement” usually starts to wear off. You’ll probably walk past a coffee shop and feel like the aroma is personally calling your name. You might feel a little tired, a little cranky, or just plain over eating beans and rice.
But that is exactly why we call it a fast and not a diet.
When your body feels weak, your spirit has the chance to be strong. To help you get through the full 21 days without losing your peace (or your mind!), I’ve put together a daily roadmap. These are the verses and affirmations I lean on when the cravings hit and I need to remember my “why.”
Write these in your journal, stick them on your fridge, or save them on your phone. Let’s do this, one day at a time.

- Day 1: “I am fueled by the Word, not just by food.”
