There are a lot of things to think about when it comes to planning out your child’s birthday party. Not only will your child be there and your family, but there will be plenty of other children, some of whom you may have never met. One fun idea to make the day even more special is to include Custom Keychains as party favors—they’re a budget-friendly and personalized way to leave a lasting impression. It’s also a good idea to plan the party in a way that helps everyone feel included, all while keeping things within your allotted budget. This can be great for you and perfect for the birthday child.

Although with social distancing measures in place, you’re not likely to be having a birthday party for your children anytime soon, you can save this post for later, because we will have a lot to celebrate when it is time to go back to normal. So here are some of the things to think about and check for, when you’re planning and organizing a party for your child.

Two months before

If you want the party to be just like your little imagines it, then it is a good idea to plan ahead as much as you can. Plus, it can give plenty of notice for your guests, so that they can make it and enjoy the day with you.

One month before

You will have bookings in place at this point, so about a month before allows you to give ample notice to the people that you want to invite. So now is the time to get your invitations out. You could go down the traditional paper invite route, or think about sending messages online or through a text. Just give them as much notice as you can. If you’re asking someone else to make the cake, get it booked in around a month ahead too.

It may be a good idea to also send invitees a potential gift list. It should include all price ranges, but don’t go too high as you don’t want them to feel obligated. Anything substantial should come from you. You have probably already picked out their gifts at this point, but some do leave it to the last minute, which can happen in a busy life. If you have, then that is okay, as you can order online if you can’t go out and pick stuff up. For instance, if your child is a K-Pop fan, why not think about going on the official K-Pop light stick shop to get them something you know they’ll love. This can mean a great deal to them, especially if your theme revolves around music, or you plan on gifting them tickets.

Two weeks before

This is the best time to finalize numbers of guests, plan out the food that you will have, get the food, and plan the party bags. Get these things down now, and then you won’t have too much to think about ahead of the big day. Then you just have to sort the party bags, prep the food, and collect or make the cake, the day before.
