New cell phone monitoring app, Xnspy, is an advanced monitoring solution that is available for both iPhone and Android users. The latest version has boosted the compatibility of the app by providing support for the latest iOS and Android operating systems. With the revamped interface and introduction of some much-needed monitoring features, the app is set to be among the best cell phone monitoring apps on the market. Let us find out what’s new in this version and is there anything still missing it?
How adaptable it is?
Compatibility is a thorny issue when deciding for a monitoring app. Apps usually promise to deliver many features but when the users install them they are not supported by the versions on their smartphones. This starts a series of support queries with many users end up ruing their purchase. So it is better to check the compatibility of the app before making a final purchase. Some apps also offer a trial version before making a full payment. That is helpful for the users to allay their compatibility concerns.
Then there are compatibility issues involving rooting or jailbreaking the older versions of operating systems on the monitored phones. Monitoring apps used to ask their users to jailbreak an iPhone or root an Android phone before installing. So much so that the functionality of some features solely rests on the device’s jailbroken or rooted status.
This new version of Xnspy breaks free from this old school compulsion. Xnspy has tried to augment its place in the monitoring apps market by offering compatibility for the latest iOS or Android versions without jailbreaking or rooting them. It now supports iOS 12.1 and Android Oreo 8.0. That’s one of the features that sets Xnspy apart from the rest of the apps.
There is, however, a caveat in the two versions. There are a few features in Android version that are not available in the iPhone version. Still, the iPhone version is as good as compared to the other monitoring apps in the market.
How to set up Xnspy?
Setting up a cell phone monitoring app could be troubling for the users, especially if it requires jailbreak or root. Xnspy looks to make it all smooth for its users. All you need to do is to subscribe to it by visiting www.xnspy.com. It is only available on its official store and not on any other website or app store. Then there are separate setup procedures for Android and iPhone users.
If you are looking to use it on an Android phone, then you have to install it on the monitored device first. After registering for the app on the website, you will be sent an email with your login ID and installation details. You will also find a link in this email which is to be used on the browser of the Android phone for downloading Xnspy. Install it on the phone after it is finished downloading and start using it.
The iPhone users will be the happier one as they do not have to install anything on the device at all. Just subscribe for Xnspy and pair it with the monitored device. iCloud credentials of the users are required for this purpose and also make sure that the iCloud backup is turned on to get all the latest updates.
How easy it is to navigate?
The interface of Xnspy cell phone monitoring app is minimalist yet you will find all the right functions in the right place. It is simple, compact, and easy to navigate. The color contrast makes it convenient for the user to identify features from the descriptions. You can effortlessly switch between the features. Xnspy calls its interface as Dashboard.
After getting through the setting up process and pairing the app with the monitored phone, you can access your account online. Log in to your Xnspy account by using the credentials sent to your email earlier. After logging in, you will be directed to the dashboard which has all the features aligned on the left side of the screen in the form of a list. With a single tap from the dashboard, you can browse the description of any feature. The information is displayed in the center of the screen.

The main menu of the dashboard houses all the important information on the screen. It displays the basic information about your account, what type of package do you have and how many days are left before your subscription expires. On the top right corner of the screen, you will see the status of the monitored device including its battery percentage, Wi-Fi, and location information. You can also directly access the setting on the main screen and see the major reports like call logs without getting into the features. Because everything is neatly organized, it is easy to zip around the app interface.
The features to look out for
There are multiple features of Xnspy that deserve a mention here but I am sharing a few of them with you.
- Keep the surroundings in check: A cell phone monitoring app will give you real-time access to most of the things happening on the monitored device, but what brings Xnspy to the elite group is its ability to stalk the phone even if it is not in use. Yes, it is possible through its Ambient Recorder. All you need to do is to give a command through your Xnspy account and it will record the surroundings of the phone remotely. The maximum limit to record is 30mins in a single session. But you can give as many commands as you like.

- Keep separate watch lists: With more than 35 features in a premium version, it feels hefty when you have to go through every single feature even if you do it once a day. So what can you do if you only want to know about the things you want? Xnspy offers its Watchlist feature to those users who are busy and don’t want to sift through all the information in their accounts. You can set multiple watch lists for words, locations, emails, and even contacts that you want to be notified about. Once a word or name is in the Watchlist, you are instantly notified when it pops up on the phone.

- Access social media chats: If you are an employer or a parent, you would always want the smartphone not to be misused in any way that can harm anyone. With digital dangers lurking around the users on social media, it is important to monitor their use to counter any unlikely situation on them. Xnspy gives you access to all the popular social media messengers including Facebook, WhatsApp, Skype, Instagram, and Viber etc. You can read all the chats on these platforms and even the shared files on these messengers through your Xnspy account.
Would it cost an arm and a leg?
As I mentioned earlier, Xnspy is subscribed at its official website, it is a paid app and does not offer any free or trial version. However, it is tried to keep its package prices quite reasonable to be among the best cell phone monitoring apps. To make it easier for you to choose, it offers only two packages. All the basic features are available on its Basic package. As the name suggests, it packs all the standard features. This package can be subscribed for an annual package by paying as low as $8.33 per month.
The more advanced features of Xnspy are only available through its Premium package. This package has all the signature as well as the standard features but the best part is that you get all these features for a nominal upgrade price of $12.49 per month for an annual package. Another good thing is that both these packages can be subscribed for monthly and quarterly plans besides annual subscriptions. I would have loved if they have offered a trial version for the beginners but you can have a knack of how it works by using the demo available on their website.
Why you should use it?
Everything about this cell phone monitoring app is a hit. Its compatibility with the latest Android and iOS versions makes it favorite among the new users. Its setup and user-friendly interface also make it convenient to use. And lastly, the value that you get at this price is incredible.
Why you shouldn’t use it?
Of course, there are a couple of things that could be improved in the next version. The limit on the surrounding record should be increased to avoid multiple user commands. In addition, the introduction of a trial version will certainly increase the trust of the users on the app.
The Bottom line
Xnspy stands right alongside the best cell phone monitoring apps in this category. Its compatibility is its brightest selling point. The advanced features like Xnspy Analytics and Keylogger also deserve a mention besides the one described in this review. The overall adaptability and the flexible price strategy makes Xnspy a must buy for monitoring users.
