Childhood should be full of care-free fun and happy memories, but that’s not all it is. The job of a parent is to make sure that their children are well-rounded, productive members of society. And while that might seem like a daunting task, most of it comes down to following a few simple habits. If these are instilled in your child from an early age, they’ll be able to stride out into the world the best they can be – and if they’re happy and confident, it’ll be all the more straightforward to take care of all the important tasks in life.
Eating Well
You might have heard that there’s something of an obesity epidemic going on around the world. People are unhealthy, and it’s a mix of a sedentary lifestyle and poor eating habits. Research has shown that good diet practices begin in childhood. If a child is eating healthy, nutritious meals from a young age, then they’ll be more likely to keep those practices into adulthood. You can help by making sure your kids are eating all the right things – and, more importantly, telling them why they’re eating those meals.

Clean and Presentable
Hygiene and presentability is a good indicator of success in the adult world. If a person is well-groomed and looks like they take pride in their appearance, they’ll be better able to handle the social, personal, and business worlds. It’s easy enough to let your child know all of the good grooming habits they should be following, and that it’s always possible to dress to impress. Show your child the art of putting an outfit together by looking for clothes at this site; they – and you – will see that it’s possible to dress well at any age!
Leaving Tech Behind
There’s a lot of good that has come from technology, but it’s not always positive. Many kids who are raised with technology always by their side often have a hard time disconnecting from that tech – even though the benefits of unplugging are plentiful. Encourage your children to spend some time away from the smartphones, tablets, and video game consoles. And if they put up a fight, then you can always play ‘strict parent’ and simply limit the time they can spend on their devices yourself. They might not like it, but they’ll appreciate it when they’re older.

Responsibility
It’s all too easy to get wrapped up in the idea that you’re the only person that matters in the world, and especially so if you’re a child. However, this is obviously not the case – and it’s important that your child knows this. Make sure they know that there are consequences to their actions and that there are times when they’ll need to assume responsibility.
Respecting Others
Finally, it’s never a bad thing to have a healthy dose of respect for other people. If your child can treat other people as a long lost brother or sister, they’ll be on the right path to making the world a better place.

I especially love the tip about leaving tech behind. We are so caught up with computers etc that kids have no time to be kids.

I guess respecting each other is the most important for me among the rest. Next is unplugging to the tech world because I believe it’s still necessary to be not dependent on technology and still enjoy the traditional play.
