Summer 2025 is here, and instead of just planning beach trips and barbecues, I’ve built myself a personal “curriculum.” Think of it as a self-designed growth plan for my mind, body, and spirit. This summer, I’m committing to leveling up in health, discipline, creativity, and learning—and the centerpiece of it all is my start of the 75 Hard Challenge on May 12, 2025.
Why a Summer Curriculum?
Every summer, I find myself wanting more than just sunshine and vacations. I want structure. Growth. Transformation. This year, I decided to treat summer like a personal semester of life-school. Instead of drifting, I’ve mapped out intentional habits and milestones that keep me accountable.
75 Hard: My Main Framework
The biggest commitment I’ve made this summer is starting 75 Hard on May 12, 2025. If you’re not familiar, this program is about mental toughness and self-discipline, not just fitness. For 75 days, I’ll follow these rules:
- Two 45-minute workouts per day (one must be outdoors).
- Follow a clean, structured diet.
- No alcohol or cheat meals.
- Drink a gallon of water daily.
- Read 10 pages of nonfiction daily.
- Take a progress photo every day.
This will take me deep into the heart of summer, keeping me focused while others may be slowing down.
My Summer Curriculum Breakdown
Beyond 75 Hard, I’ve set up my curriculum in four key areas:
1. Physical Growth
- Daily walking + strength training.
- Yoga on recovery days.
- Exploring new hiking trails with my family.
2. Mental Growth
- Finish 3 personal development books.
- Daily journaling for reflection.
- Weekly goal check-ins to stay on track.
3. Creative Growth
- Write 3 blog post per week.
- Experiment with Pinterest storytelling boards.
- Plan content for my fall projects.
4. Spiritual Growth
- Morning devotionals and prayer walks.
- Volunteering with my church.
- Practicing gratitude daily.
Why This Matters to Me
I’ve learned that discipline in one area of life spills into all others. By pushing myself through challenges like 75 Hard, I’m not just reshaping my body—I’m also reshaping my mindset. My summer curriculum is really about building the best version of myself, one day at a time.
