I can hardly believe I’m typing this, but today marks Day 15 of my 100-Day Lock-In. If you’ve been following along, you know I started this journey on February 27th with a lot of fire and a very specific plan.
Well… life happens, and sometimes your body has a different conversation with you than the one you planned in your head. I sat down with my doctor, and we had some real back-and-forth talks. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t exactly happy at first. I wanted to go hard, but she reigned me in to make sure I was doing this safely. We settled on a temporary “middle ground” of 2,000 calories, 135g of protein, and 25g of fiber.
As long as I had my protein, my fiber, and my steps, I told myself I was going to make it work. And guess what? It worked better than I imagined.

The Big Wins (And the One That Made Me Cry)
In just 14 days, I am down 9 pounds.
Seeing that number move is great, don’t get me wrong. But the real “shout it from the rooftops” victory? I haven’t had to reach for my rescue inhaler once. For me, being able to breathe clearly while I’m hitting the pavement is a gift I don’t take for granted. It’s proof that when you fuel your body right, it starts to thank you in ways that have nothing to do with the scale.
Looking at the Numbers
I’ve been tracking my steps religiously. Some days I felt like a marathon runner, and other days… well, let’s just say the couch was calling my name. But I stayed consistent.
- 2/27: 9,076 steps
- 2/28: 10,330 steps
- 3/1: 5,565 steps
- 3/2: 8,438 steps
- 3/3: 7,048 steps
- 3/4: 10,030 steps
- 3/5: 6,726 steps
- 3/6: 7,195 steps
- 3/7: 10,346 steps
- 3/8: 19,283 steps (My personal peak!)
- 3/9: 4,755 steps
- 3/10: 9,234 steps
- 3/11: 2,772 steps
- 3/12: 11,950 steps
Total Steps: 122,748 Daily Average: 8,767 steps
I’m really proud of that average, especially since I’m still finding my rhythm. My sleep, though… that’s been the struggle bus. I’ve only been getting 4 to 6 hours a night, and I know I can’t sustain this high-frequency life on that little rest.

The Next Phase: Locking In Even Harder
After my follow-up today, my doctor gave me the green light to move closer to my original vision. We are checking in every two weeks to make sure I’m staying healthy, but here is the plan going forward:
- 1,500 Calories (The sweet spot for my goals right now)
- 140g Protein & 35g Fiber (Keeping that muscle and keeping things moving!)
- 10,000 Steps Daily (Time to level up)
- 7-8 Hours of Sleep (This is non-negotiable now)
- 16:8 Intermittent Fasting
I’m nervous, but I’m excited. These first two weeks proved to me that I can do hard things. I’m sticking to my non-negotiables and trusting the process.
If you’re on your own journey, keep going. Even the messy days count. We’ve got this!

The 9-pound drop is a fantastic start, but honestly, the non-scale victory with your breathing is the real showstopper here. Rooting for you as you move into this next phase. You’ve already proven you can handle the “messy days,” so you’ve absolutely got this!
My partner and I are trying to get healthier together, and this gave us ideas. We especially liked the step tracking part. It feels like something we can actually stick to. Thanks for sharing!
Brianna, that’s amazing you and your partner are doing this together! Step tracking is such a simple but powerful way to stay on track, and I’m so glad it gave you some fresh ideas. You’ve got this—together, it’s definitely doable! 💪👟
