You bring them into the world, swear to look after them always, and then they get all independent. Who the heck do these kids think they are, right?! The amazing thing about children is their ability to mix neediness with a self-sufficient lifestyle. People believe millennials stay in all day playing video games but they have multiple plates spinning at once. As a parent, this can be incredibly difficult if you have more than one child. Like the plates twirling in the air, it is a delicate balancing act.
Here’s how to keep them from smashing so that the kids can continue to be active.

Encourage Similar Interests
It’s amazing watching your baby develop hobbies and interests and you want to support their individuality. However, there’s no doubt it’s easier when siblings are alike. That way, they can join the same clubs and participate in the same activities and arrive at places at the same time. There’s no need to stress or fret in this scenario because taking care of one means taking care of the other. Never force them to do things they hate as it will put them off for life. But, there’s nothing wrong with mentioning their brother plays baseball and they could give a try.

Upsize The Car
If your kids are anything like every single one on the planet, they won’t make life straightforward. One will want to join the drama club while the other will be obsessed with sports. And, shock horror, both clubs will be located at opposite ends of town to add to the pressure. In this case, you need a bigger car and Auto.Loan can help. The reason for upsizing is simple: everyone can fit into the car. That way, there’s no reason to do separate trips and waste time. Another trick is to invest in another vehicle. Use these parenting.com tricks to get the best deal.

Be A Team
No mom or dad wants to choose between their kids. Don’t worry because this post isn’t going to tell you to pick a favorite. Instead, parents need to realize their limitations and use teamwork to fill in the gaps. In a perfect world, both of you would go to a recital and the kids’ mixed martial arts tournament. Reality dictates that you might have mix and match depending on the timings. Dad can go to an event one week and you another and then you can swap. It’s the best way to share your time equally.

Let Go
Parents are anxious. Not about anything in particular, just about life. It’s an occupational hazard of bearing children. Therefore, it’s tricky to let go and allow them their freedom. However, it tends to be the only way to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Teenagers are more than capable of catching the bus to practice or walking home from school. If you’re still anxious, set ground rules such as a curfew or no walking home alone.
How do you cope? Please share in the comments below. I really would love to know.
Until next time, shine amongst the stars!

This would be tough! I guess I’m lucky my son isn’t into any sports. It’s just my daughter who does stuff at the moment.

I was a single parent with 3 kid who had activities in 3 different directions. I had to rely on family members to help out. Now that they’re all grown and married, I have been observing how they deal with all of the kids’ activities and I’ve noticed they take turns taking the kids plus having two vehicles helps. If one of them take the female one day, the other parent will take said female and the other parent will take the male. They share responsibilities and go to all activities every other day so that one parent is always with the kids although at separate activities and I think that’s great. Your tips are really helpful.

My boys take the bus to school and when they are in high school they get a bike. That way they can do after school sports.
