If you know anything about me and my story, you know that a few months after I met my husband we said, “I Do.” You also know that after I found out I was pregnant 2 months later, I was scared and confused so I tried to push Tim away. I thank God every day for his strength, humility, and long suffering because being able to share my life with someone who “gets me” is a truly amazing thing.
During the time of my pushing Tim away, he wrote me many letters and one of those letters I hold dear. Especially the following excerpt:
“I’m not a doctor. I’m not a lawyer. I’m not even a genius, but everything that I am and will be, is in love with everything that you are and will be. I have hopes and dreams and my future looks bright, and it will be the greatest part of my life because it WILL include you and our child. I loved you before I met you and I will love you forever.”
Although I was stubborn, those words penetrated my heart and confirmed that when I said “I do,” I meant “I do forever.”
