If there isn’t a connection to your content, and it’s not emotional and visual, they’re not going to keep or start following you.  With emotional and visual content people are not going have an urge to leave a comment or like your stuff.

Stick To a Particular Niche, Theme, or Community

It can be tempting to post whatever you see and enjoy, however, those things are best suited for you Instagram Story.  In order to keep you follower engaged and growing, remember they are coming to you for a reason, whether it is fashion, memes, decor, etc. I recommend making your profile public, select an amazing profile picture, write a great bio describing what you have to offer. Once you have done all that, post relevant content, including caption and hashtags.

I’m sure someone has told you to like, comment and follow other people who are insta-famous, so you can get more followers? To be honest, that’s sort of true. However, to get and keep followers that are engaging with your content, they should be in your industry also.  The Instagram algorithm like engagement soon after you posts a picture. This strategy will keep your feed in front of relevant people.

Collaborate with Other Influencers

If you are a small influencer and want to get the attention of established influencers. Collaborating should always be at the top of your list. I’m sure you’ve seen people post pictures of each other, and they both tag each other on each other’s profile, and this helps them get more followers. This is why those influencers are so successful. I suggest you enlist others that brave and creative as you, suggest a collab, and watch the magic happen.

Submit Your Content to Feature Accounts

What are feature accounts? They are Instagram accounts that repost images within a certain community or niche. These accounts are hosted by people who have a  passion for the community they are curating, with tons of followers who are passionate as well.
