When you’re trying to live your best life whilst in the prime of your life, there’s a lot you can eat and drink to stay healthy. Detoxing is something we schedule in from time to time to make sure we’re never feeling too sick on the inside, and we look forward to them. Similarly, there’s so many natural fruits and vegetables out there that make our skin glow when we actually make the effort to eat 5 a day.
And those can be incredibly tasty! But there’s also the other end of the scale, where the healthy things were meant to be ingesting are disgusting, and honestly hard to swallow. So, no pills, no lingering aftertastes, here’s the diet supplements you’ll actually want to complement your meals with.
Try a Shake or Smoothie
If you’re drinking some healthy shakes or smoothies from time to time, you’re going to be in taking a lot more fruits than usual, as well as some vitamin supplements that you can easily add in. Take Shilajit as an example of that, which can be mixed very easily into any concoctions you’ve just blended up, or made into a tonic of its own.
Of course, there’s going to be a bit more sugar than other fat-free drinks you could try out, and you’re always going to be needing to drink more water, but it’s a lot healthier than any other food or drinks in the same market.
Eat Some Nuts
Nuts and pulses, to be specific. These foods have all sorts of nutrients in them, and you can either eat them raw or cook them into your favorite dishes for a bit of extra flavor. It literally couldn’t be easier to add in all the essential vitamins you need from your daily meals!
You don’t even need many nuts day by day, as just a handful has all the impact you need for more of a healthy lifestyle. If you’re the kind of person who’s left a little bereft by your portion sizes when it comes to following a strict diet, adding some nuts can easily fill that hole in your stomach, as they contain fibers, proteins, fats, and carbs all in one.
Moderate Your Meat Intake
If you’re a big meat eater, it might be the time to either cut down or change the kinds of meats you like to eat. Not only do too many red meats help you pile on the pounds, but they also don’t have the same health benefits as something leaner, like chicken or turkey. So for your next steak night, why not try some poultry instead?
If you pair your red meats with a good amount of vegetables, you’re going to be left feeling a lot fuller than ever before, and get a lot of iron and vitamins A, B, C and D. It’s a healthy combo, and helps to negate the bad effects.
Diet supplements don’t have to be the worst part of your eating day! Do you take supplements do you prefer to eat healthily? Please share in the comments below. I really would love to know.
Until next time, shine amongst the stars!
