Why Sports Should Be Part Of Your Daily Routine

Sharing is caring!

You probably already knew it, we already mentioned it, the sport brings to all those who adopt it many benefits. We obviously think about the health of the body, but it is far from being limited to that. We play sports for many reasons which depend on our character, our personality and our motivations at the moment. However, it can bear some fruitful rewards also – for your health and happiness! And thankfully there are plenty of people out there to help motivate you for the better. You may want to look at Mitch Vanhille for example.

I play sports to lose my extra pounds!

Of course! This is often the first reason that comes to mind when we talk about sports motivation. We exercise to burn off our energy, to burn as many calories as possible (without it being too hard anyway), and thus drop the extra pounds we may have on the body. What you should know is that the principle is very simple: if you ingest more calories than you spend during the day, then you will tend to gain weight. On the other hand, if you spend more calories than you ingest, then you will tend to reduce your weight. It’s cartoonish, but the principle is the right one, and that should convince you that sport is essential!

I play sports to be healthy!

Excellent reason! Health organizations have been bombarding us with sports-related health campaigns for years, don’t you think there’s a good reason? More broadly, physical activity improves many aspects of our health. Better blood circulation, better oxygenation, improved cardiac, pulmonary, muscular, cerebral capacities and so on. The body is like a car, if you put it back in the back of a garage without maintaining it, there is a great chance that it will collect dust, parts will wear out and stop working when you want to restart it.

I play sports to have confidence in myself!

If this is one of the reasons that pushes you to play sport, then you understand that sport is not just about the physique and the body. Because with the body there is also the spirit. While participating in regular physical activity improves the overall functioning of your body, it also improves the functioning of your mind. We all know the saying “a healthy mind in a healthy body” right? Well that’s exactly it! If your body is fine, your mind will follow, and you will feel better on many points, especially on the confidence you place in yourself!

I play sports because I can’t do without it!

Some might think of it as a drug, and in a way it’s not entirely wrong. Except that sports addiction does not have the same effects at all! Like everything, you should not go overboard, but a good sports addiction will only push you to do your sessions every week, and to have the regularity that provides all the benefits of sport. See, a little addiction isn’t that bad sometimes. And don’t worry, you can also grow to be addicted to sport, too!

  1. Thanks a bunch for highlighting the myriad reasons why sports should be an integral part of our daily routines. Your insights resonate with me, especially the reminder that it’s not just about losing weight; it’s a holistic approach to health. The emphasis on overall well-being, improved mental capacities, and enhanced self-confidence is incredibly motivating. It’s refreshing to see the positive influence of sports beyond the physical aspects. Thanks for encouraging us to embrace the joy and benefits that regular physical activity brings!

  2. I’m not into a particular sport, but love going to the gym and being active. Exercise just makes me feel so much better. It’s like therapy.

  3. It’s also great to have sports as just a fun thing you like doing! So many good reasons to do regular sports.
