Slow it down and take it easy a little, and that is actually going to be much more effective in the long run, and you will find that they listen to you a lot more as a result.

Believe it or not, even during the teen years your child looks up to you – though they might not admit it! If you are a figure of fitness and health, therefore, you are going to find that they are much more likely to focus on their health too, and this is the kind of thing that can be surprisingly effective. Be a role model by looking after your own fitness, and you’ll be amazed at how well it can work in terms of encouraging them to do the same for themselves.
