Hello everyone, it’s Lavanda Michelle checking in for Week 3 of my health journey. Your continued support has been a tremendous source of motivation for me, and I’m excited to share the latest updates and milestones from this week’s adventures toward better health.

Reflecting on My Journey

Week 3 has been filled with both challenges and triumphs. Since starting this journey, on June 1, 2024, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve already shed 14 pounds. It’s amazing to see tangible results from my commitment to a healthier lifestyle.

Tracking Physical Activity

Tracking my daily steps has been instrumental in my progress. Let’s talk about my steps for Week 3:

  • Day 15: 20,169 steps
  • Day 16: 19,933 steps
  • Day 17: 13,538 steps
  • Day 18: 14,635 steps
  • Day 19: 16,232 steps
  • Day 20: 17,376 steps
  • Day 21: 20,993 steps

Total Steps for the Week: 122,876 steps
Average Daily Steps: Approximately 17,554 steps/day

Consistency in walking has not only helped me stay active but has also provided a sense of accomplishment every day.

Beyond the Scale Achievements

While the scale is a great indicator of progress, the non-scale victories have been equally impactful. This week, I noticed significant improvements in my overall well-being. I haven’t needed my rescue inhaler at all, marking a significant improvement in my respiratory health. Moreover, my sleep quality has improved, leaving me feeling more refreshed each morning. And the best part? My clothes are fitting looser!

Embracing Healthy Habits

Intermittent fasting is a big part of my routine. I fast for 16 hours a day and eat for 8. I also keep up with my weight loss affirmations and use prompts for my daily health journal.

During my fasting times, I find joy and strength by reading your comments. The love and encouragement from you all have been a true game changer. I am so grateful for each one of you.

Daily Affirmations and Journaling

In addition to my physical habits, I’ve added daily affirmations and journaling to my routine. Starting each day with positive affirmations sets a cheerful and proactive tone, keeping me focused and upbeat about my goals. Journaling has become a joyful practice where I reflect on my thoughts, challenges, and victories, giving me clarity and a sense of accomplishment. This combination keeps me motivated and excited for the journey ahead!

Affirmations:

  • 💖 Self-Love: “I love and respect my body” reminds me to treat myself with kindness.

  • 🥦 Healthy Choices: “I choose nourishing foods that support my goals” guides my meal choices.
  • 🍽️ Control: “I am in control of my eating habits” empowers me to make mindful decisions.
  • 🔒 Commitment: “I am dedicated to achieving a healthy body weight” reinforces my long-term commitment.
  • 🏋️‍♀️ Strength Building: “My body is becoming stronger and healthier with every positive choice I make” motivates me to stay active.
  • 🌸 Ease and Grace: “I release excess weight with ease and grace” helps me let go of perfectionism.

    These affirmations are more than just words—they’re my daily sparks of positivity, guiding me towards a healthier lifestyle. Whether I’m making mindful food choices, enjoying a brisk walk, or simply pausing to celebrate my progress, affirmations keep me grounded and inspired every step of the way.

    The Power of Community

    While the Pacer app community has been instrumental in keeping me accountable with the June Challenge, the support from my online blog and social media community has been equally invaluable. Your supportive comments and words of encouragement lift my spirits and motivate me to stay committed to my goals every day. You all make this journey so much brighter and more fun!
