Hello everyone, it’s Lavanda Michelle checking in for Week 4 of my health journey. Your ongoing support has been a huge boost for me, and I’m thrilled to share the latest updates and milestones from this week’s journey towards better health.

Reflecting on My Journey

Week 4 has been filled with both challenges and triumphs. Since starting this journey on June 1, 2024, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve already shed 20 pounds. It’s amazing to see tangible results from my commitment to a healthier lifestyle. The journey hasn’t been easy, but the progress has been worth every step and every effort. Seeing the numbers on the scale go down is rewarding, but the real joy comes from feeling healthier and more energetic.

Tracking Physical Activity

This week was a free week, and I had more energy and time to get in my steps. I’ve been a walking machine! Let’s talk about my steps for Week 4:

  • Day 22: 41,495 steps
  • Day 23: 20,545 steps
  • Day 24: 21,589 steps
  • Day 25: 21,923 steps
  • Day 26: 21,131 steps
  • Day 27: 29,307 steps
  • Day 28: 13,657 steps

Total Steps for the Week: 169,737 steps
Average Daily Steps: Approximately 24,248 steps

I enjoyed stepping through the farmer’s market and shopping with my girls. Our little adventures through the aisles were filled with laughter and excitement as we discovered fresh produce and unique local goods. My daily morning and night walks with my hubby have been pure joy, offering us precious moments to connect and unwind. We also visited many walking paths here in Cary, North Carolina, exploring the beautiful trails that this area has to offer. Each path offered a new scenic view and a chance to appreciate the beauty of nature.

Beyond the Scale Achievements

While the scale is a great indicator of progress, the non-scale victories have been equally impactful. This week, I noticed significant improvements in my overall well-being. I haven’t needed my rescue inhaler at all, marking a significant improvement in my respiratory health. It feels fantastic to breathe easier and more freely. Moreover, my sleep quality has improved, leaving me feeling more refreshed each morning. Waking up rejuvenated and ready to tackle the day has made a world of difference. And the best part? My clothes are fitting looser! It’s a wonderful feeling to slip into clothes that used to be tight and now fit comfortably.

Guess what? My mind feels clearer, and my mood is brighter—no more clouds of confusion, just sunshine and smiles! It’s incredible how physical health can positively impact mental health. Feeling good physically has a ripple effect, making me more positive and energetic.

Embracing Healthy Habits

Intermittent fasting is a big part of my routine. I fast for 16 hours a day and eat for 8. This schedule has helped me control my hunger and focus on nourishing my body during eating hours. I also keep up with my weight loss affirmations and use prompts for my daily health journal. These affirmations and journaling practices keep me motivated and aligned with my goals.

During my fasting times, I find joy and strength by reading your comments. The love and encouragement from you all have been a true game changer. Knowing that I have a supportive community cheering me on makes a huge difference. I am so grateful for each one of you. Your words lift me up and keep me moving forward.

Daily Affirmations and Journaling

Along with my physical habits, I’ve kept up with my daily affirmations and journaling. Kicking off each day with positive affirmations sets a cheerful and proactive tone, helping me stay focused and upbeat about my goals. Journaling has become a joyful part of my routine, allowing me to reflect on my thoughts, challenges, and victories, giving me clarity and a sense of accomplishment. This mix keeps me motivated and excited for what’s ahead!

  • 🔒 Commitment: “I am dedicated to achieving a healthy body weight” reinforces my long-term commitment.
  • 🏋️‍♀️ Strength Building: “My body is becoming stronger and healthier with every positive choice I make” motivates me to stay active.
  • 🌸 Ease and Grace: “I release excess weight with ease and grace” helps me let go of perfectionism.

These affirmations are more than just words—they’re my daily boosts of positivity, guiding me toward a healthier lifestyle. Whether I’m making mindful food choices, enjoying a brisk walk, or simply taking a moment to celebrate my progress, affirmations keep me grounded and inspired every step of the way.

The Power of Community

While the Pacer app community has been amazing for keeping me accountable with the June Challenge, but the support from my online blog and social media friends has been just as important. Your kind comments and encouraging words lift my spirits and keep me motivated to stick to my goals every day. You all make this journey so much brighter and more fun!

Motivation!

I’m still crushing my June Challenge on the Pacer app. I hit my 6,000-step goal every day and often went above and beyond. Feel free to join me on Pacer at Pacer Link. The Pacer app has great motivational pictures and quotes that help a lot! I’m thrilled to share that I finished #1 in the Gold League on Pacer! It’s such an honor and a testament to the hard work and dedication I’ve put into this journey. I also unlocked a new badge, “Perfect Score,” which made me feel like a fitness superstar!

Looking Ahead

As I look forward to Week 5, my heart is overflowing with gratitude for the progress I’ve made and the wonderful support I’ve received. This journey has shown me the power of resilience and the strength of our community. I’m so excited to keep sharing every step with all of you. Each new week brings fresh challenges and opportunities for growth, and I’m ready to take them on.

  1. Twentyb pounds is an amazing accomplishment and I would love to shed 20 pounds. That is really what I need to lose. Awesome job and keep it up!

  2. Wow, you are doing amazing. I am trying to lose a bit of weight, so far i’ve lost about 7lbs. But your doing great with your steps. I am aiming for only around 6000 a day, so may have to focus more on this.
