Hello everyone, it’s Lavanda Michelle checking in for Week 6 of my health journey. and I couldn’t be more grateful for your ongoing support and encouragement. This week has been very exciting, and I’m thrilled to share the latest updates and milestones with you!
Reflecting on My Journey
Since kicking off on June 1, 2024, I’ve already lost an incredible 30 pounds. It’s not just about the numbers on the scale—this journey has brought me newfound energy and a renewed zest for life. The progress I’m seeing is a testament to the power of commitment and positivity!
During week six of my health and weight loss journey, I had a busy schedule, including a visit to my doctor. She was initially shocked and concerned about my weight loss, but after blood work and other tests, she was impressed by my amazing numbers. After discussing my meal plan, exercise, and intermittent fasting, her concerns were alleviated. We talked about plateauing and energy levels, and she suggested increasing my calorie intake and adjusting my step count as needed.
She scheduled another check-in for six weeks from now.

I’ve already shed 30 pounds.💪

Tracking Physical Activity
This week was a free week, and I had more energy and time to get in my steps. I’ve been a walking machine! Let’s talk about my steps for Week 6:
This week, with renewed vigor, I’ve logged some serious steps:
- 🏃♀️ Day 36: July 6: 35,214 steps
- 🏃♀️ Day 37: July 7: 34,178 steps
- 🏃♀️ Day 38: July 8: 15,796 steps
- 🏃♀️ Day 39: July 9: 13,816 steps
- 🏃♀️ Day 40: July 10: 40,605 steps
- 🏃♀️ Day 41: July 11: 31,492 steps
- 🏃♀️ Day 42: July 12: 34,698 steps
Total Steps for the Week: 205,799 steps
Average Daily Steps: Approximately 29,400 steps
I’ve cherished every moment exploring Cary’s scenic walking paths and browsing local farmers markets with my girls. Also visiting other town areas like Raleigh, Durham, Morrisville, and Apex. These adventures are not just about exercise—they’re moments of joy and connection with my loved ones.



Beyond the Scale Achievements
While shedding pounds is fantastic, the non-scale victories have been even more rewarding. Breathing easier, sleeping better, and feeling more comfortable in my clothes are just the start. My mind feels clearer and my mood is brighter—no more clouds of confusion, just sunshine and smiles! It’s incredible how improving physical health can positively impact mental well-being. Feeling good physically has a ripple effect, making me more positive and energetic every day.
Embracing Healthy Habits
Intermittent fasting has become a key pillar of my routine, and I’m loving the clarity and discipline it brings to my day. By sticking to a 16-hour fasting window and an 8-hour eating period, I’ve found it so much easier to stay focused on my goals and manage my hunger. This method really helps me keep a balanced approach to my eating and stay energized throughout the day.
But that’s not all! Daily affirmations and journaling have become my go-to sources of positivity and inspiration. Each morning, I start with uplifting affirmations that set a joyful and proactive tone for the day. These affirmations are like little bursts of sunshine, helping me stay motivated and positive as I tackle my goals.
Journaling also plays a crucial role in my routine. It gives me a space to reflect on my thoughts, challenges, and triumphs, keeping me centered and motivated. It’s a moment of clarity and self-expression that I genuinely look forward to each day.
These practices aren’t just routine; they’re my secret sauce for maintaining momentum and staying on track. They help me stay energized and excited about my journey, making each day a little brighter and more fulfilling.😄


Daily Affirmations and Journaling
Along with my physical habits, I’ve kept up with my daily affirmations and journaling. Kicking off each day with positive affirmations sets a cheerful and proactive tone, helping me stay focused and upbeat about my goals. Journaling has become a joyful part of my routine, allowing me to reflect on my thoughts, challenges, and victories, giving me clarity and a sense of accomplishment. This mix keeps me motivated and excited for what’s ahead!

- 🔒 Commitment: “I am dedicated to achieving a healthy body weight” reinforces my long-term commitment.
- 🏋️♀️ Strength Building: “My body is becoming stronger and healthier with every positive choice I make” motivates me to stay active.
- 🌸 Ease and Grace: “I release excess weight with ease and grace” helps me let go of perfectionism.
These affirmations are more than just words—they’re my daily boosts of positivity, guiding me toward a healthier lifestyle. Whether I’m making mindful food choices, enjoying a brisk walk, or simply taking a moment to celebrate my progress, affirmations keep me grounded and inspired every step of the way.
