As I woke to the news of another mass shooting in America and this time in Las Vegas—and the worst in our country’s history, my thoughts and prayers are with all those affected. #LasVegasStrong

The phrase “Las Vegas Strong” emerged as a rallying cry and symbol of unity in the aftermath of the tragic mass shooting that took place on October 1, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada. This incident, which occurred during the Route 91 Harvest music festival, resulted in 58 people losing their lives and hundreds more sustaining injuries. It was the deadliest mass shooting committed by an individual in modern U.S. history.
