If you have a large family or if you know that you are due to go on holiday with some family or friends, then the thought of having to cook for everyone may be enough to set you on edge. It can also be daunting too. If you want to do something about this, then this guide will help you to cook full meals without the stress.

Keep Things Simple
Cooking for a big group is not the best of times for you to be experimenting with herbs and spices. If you want to avoid any stress, then it is a good idea for you to stick to the recipes that you know and love. If you cook something that is truly tried and tested, then it is easy for you to scale up from here. Even the most uncomplicated meals can be stepped up and made into a showstopper if you are willing to push the boat out with the presentation.

Cook a Crowd Pleaser
If you can, it is also wise for you to give some serious thought to the audience that you are going to be cooking for. Make sure that everyone is going to enjoy the meal you are preparing. If you are cooking for your grandparents as well and you know that they are not a huge fan of spice, then it is probably not a good idea for you to cook a lamb madras. On the other hand, your kids probably will not eat a vegetable stew. At the end of the day, you do not need to be basic when it comes to cooking but you do need to make sure that nobody ends up leaving the table disappointed.

Make Something Adaptable
If you have friends who have dietary requirements, then make sure that you cater for them too. Let them know that you are thinking about them and that you are happy to adapt any recipe to suit a vegetarian or vegan diet. You can look into how long to cook acorn squash online if you’re not sure of anything, and this is a great way for you to mix things up a bit while also making sure that you cater for everyone properly.

Plan and Cook Ahead
If you can, it is always a good idea for you to do as much preparation as you can ahead of time. The last thing you want is to be overwhelmed with prep when you have the whole family around you. One way for you to work around this would be for you to peel and freeze your vegetables and for you to get some child-friendly treats in so you can give your children something to nibble on as you cook away.

Get a Slow Cooker
If you have not got a slow cooker, yet then now could be the time for you to change that. This is especially the case if you are hosting during winter. You can set the stew or whatever it is you are making to cook away while you focus on the more important things. If you can do this, then you will soon find that it is easier for you to keep track of everything.
