Take Control of Your Own Life

Take Control of Your Own Life

We never truly are in control of our own lives. We need money, which means we have to work, which means we spend our whole lives working to see most of it thrown away to living. When you think of it like that, it is a pretty daunting thought. But, there are ways you can take control of certain aspects of your own life. All you have to do is have the willpower to do so. Because even though there are certain aspects, such as work, that we can’t control, the ones we can control we often can’t be bothered to do so.

Get Your 2017 Instagram Best Nine

As I look back on 2017, I take a moment to reflect on my passion turn revenue source, my blog. I wrote my first blog four and a half months ago and I started an Instagram account shortly after that.  While on Instagram last week I noticed a post displaying 2017 Best Nine Collage. I thought it was a cool thing to like back at my account and see which post perform the best.

New Years Day

New Years Day

As I heard the door lock one tear fell from my eye. My grandma walked over to me and said, “Now, your Mom is sad that you did say goodbye.” I ran to the door and I caught her before she left the porch and screamed, “I love you mommy and I’m still mad!” She turned and smiled as she blew me a kiss and mouthed, I love you too.

Letters To Santa

Letters To Santa

This was I really really really tried my hardest to listen to Tonja, but she gets on my nerves. She always takes my doll without asking and she doesn't let me play with her dolls. She even told my mom that I took a candy cane off the tree even though she did to. I will try harder next year. School is fun my new teacher Mrs. Matthews allows me to help in class, I love to be a helper. I also won first place in the science fair for my volcano. I hope you like the cookies we made, I made the one with the red and white snowflakes.   P.S. Santa: I know I haven't asked you for anything in years, but this year I would love a Subaru Forester.  I so love this vehicle and it is perfect for my family.  I promise to drive with care.

My Favorite Christmas Tradition

My Favorite Christmas Tradition

My favorite part of the letter and the thing that made me the proudest was when he wrote that not only were my parents taking over some of his responsibilities, but he would also need me to take over some responsibilities as well.

Summer of ’01

Summer of ’01

We laughed and joked and talked and what seemed like 20 minutes was actually 3 hours. The night was approaching fast. My mother sent my sister out to tell me about dinner and we started saying our goodbyes. Once again, we got caught up in another 20-minute conversation that lasted another 3 hours. The porch light had come on and I recall telling him, “I enjoyed our conversation, but I really have to go. I start my new job tomorrow and I need to rest.” He asked for my number and I told him, “If I see you again, I will bless you with my number.”

Nineteen Seventy-One

Nineteen Seventy-One

Although I wasn’t originally sold on the idea, I came to believe we shared a story that was meant to be. Whatever the future holds, every moment we’ve shared together and apart has shaped the people we are today.

ThanksGiving

ThanksGiving

While in college, I spent Thanksgiving with my sister Debora and her new son, Sean. I remember talking on the phone with my mom the entire time while I tried to recreate her stuffing. Thanksgiving just wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without it. I was crushed when I realized I didn’t have Sage and there was no store open.

The Day After Halloween

The Day After Halloween

Sometimes, when I was too excited to sleep, I’d sneak in the hall and watch my parents decorate and I would fall asleep there with my cat, Sheba.
